So life update. I’m training for a new position and will turn 30 in about two weeks. It feels absolutely amazing—enough about me. Let’s get into why I’m here. I haven’t been as active on my blog as I’d love to be, but whenever I pop in, you know it’s to encourage you or confirm something for whoever needs to hear it. As I prepared for my new role, I went through a series and a few stages of training. As I reflected on my life to prepare for my 30s, I could see how God has trained me over the years for where I’ve landed today. I can see how I am in training even now for the next steps God has prepared for me that I don’t even know of.
I don’t know who this is for and what it means to you, but I want to remind you that you, too, are in training and that God wastes nothing. Whether you are in a hard season, a working-to-the-bone season, or your floater season, patiently waiting for your next moment. God is preparing your character and your skill set for his plans ahead. He is crafting your clarity and building your stamina to withstand the journey ahead. It may not always be easy, but you won’t always be in a hard season either.
The world we’re adulting in is so different from the world we were children in. In this season, I know that God is using his children so strategically to build the kingdom and fight on his behalf in the physical realm. This is why we must respect and endure the season he has placed us in. So that we have thoroughly prepared for the time he is seeking an available servant. Or to ensure we do not delay God’s appointed times. If I am honest, I have made this mistake. I have rushed God’s timeline. I focused on the end game rather than where I was planted. I have traded purpose for fun weekends. I have preferred Netflix over prayer. I know what it feels like to have that gut knowing that God is calling you and you have not prepared how he has instructed you.
God, in his mercy, gives us grace and sometimes acceleration to overcome the delays in our lives. He’s done it for me, and may he do it for you. And when he does press in, endure, and stay on the course of your training, it is good for you. It is the way your mind is renewed in the Word. It is the way you take off that old nature. It is the way you and God intercept at your “for such a time as this moment.” That’s all, guys. I usually come through with scripture and drawn-out text, but I just got the urge to write as a sit a breakfast. Maybe I’ll do a follow-up teaching. But until then, keep seeking Jesus and remain in him. He will guide you along the right path.
Until next time, Kayla
