Happy Sunday, guys. I could not let this weekend go by without sharing something with you all. I had a jam-packed weekend of birthday surprises and celebrating with family and friends. If I can admit, I am still floating on cloud nine from all the love and blessings I received this weekend. I felt so surrounded by love from God-sent people in my life. But why am I hear today? As I sat down to write, I began to hear in my mind that old song, “Great is thy faithfulness, great is thy faithfulness, morning by morning my song shall rise to thee. All I have needed thy hand has provided. Great is thy faithfulness to me.” One line is actually from Great is thy faithfulness and the other is from Holy, Holy, Holy. So I am going to lean into this.
Does that mean anything to you? It means so much to me. Reflecting on my life through good and bad seasons, I have seen God continuously show up faithfully. As I hear these two songs in my mind morph together I recall two perspectives of faithfulness. I know I can depend on God to always provide for me in any season. It’s in His nature. But can I commit to morning by morning my song shall rise to thee? No matter what, can I truly make this a complete anthem of my life? Praising him, seeking him, and being obedient to Him every day. I feel strongly that God is increasing His people’s sensitivity to his desire for our faithfulness to him. It’s already starting in me.
We’ve seen the decline of morality and just peace in this world. Yet, many believers continue to sing these songs on Sundays and believe them in their hearts. Though our nation and other things around us are shaken, we remain unmoved and sustained by God’s faithfulness. May this be our portion in every season. And may we stay faithful to him. I just wanted to check in on you and remain steadfast in this writing space. I’m going to get back to my weekend of celebrating and start with opening birthday gifts :). I love you guys. I hope you have a wonderful week. Don’t forget to make time for Him. Until next time, Kayla
